Stephen Remick, “Autumn Air”, Large Contemporary Abstract Painting
Titled “Autumn Air”. This is part of a series of abstract color-field paintings done in the early 2000’s. Inspiration was drawn from the abstract expressionists of the mid 1900’s. This is professional grade acrylic on canvas and measures a square 60" high by 60" wide. The edges are painted so it can be hung without a frame. It’s wired and ready to hang. Please look at the images carefully. This is painted very loosely with quick brushstrokes and intentional “irregularities” and drips inherent with painting. About the artist: Stephen Remick was born and raised in Vermont. He earned a BFA in Painting from Swain School of Design, a small art school in Massachusetts. He resides in a coastal New England town with his wife, Anne Carrozza Remick, who is also an artist on Chairish. Steve’s paintings are in private collections all over the U.S. and abroad.
