Sugar Loaf Lounge Chair

Sorry, this product is no longer available on Dering Hall.

It’s a fact: every designer has their own source of inspiration. And for award-winning architect and designer Manuel Bandeira, it is no different. Mr. Bandeira uses nature’s simplicity, elegance, and curves to design beautiful and comfortable pieces of furniture.

The iconic landmark in Rio de Janeiro, the Sugar Loaf – one of the top tourist destinations in the world and known worldwide for its cableways and breathtaking panoramic views of the city – was Mr Bandeira’s greatest inspiration for the design and name of his beautiful collection. “In partnership with Tidelli Outdoor, The Sugar Loaf Collection is a clear example of how nature and things around me influenced my design. Nature is the primary source of my inspiration”, explains Manuel.

Besides the beautiful shape, the materials used for each part and its “heavily Brazilian-influenced” construction make the range resistant to all kinds of weather. “We carefully chose the materials used on this project. We wanted something that would also enhance the design, so we decided to use Tidelli’s signature material – the nautical rope – because of its quality, durability, and comfort which is perfect for any environment and an excellent choice for outdoors”, says the former General Director of Bahia Design Association.
