The Gramont chimneypiece
This carved stone chimneypiece in the late 18th century French style features an elegant rectangular breakfront shelf above a conforming frieze, centred by a rectangular tablet carved with ribbon tied swags of laurel leaves and flanked by panels of geometric blind carved trellis. The fluted and stop fluted jambs are decorated with beads and headed by rectangular leaf carved paterae.
