Verner Panton Cone Chair, Denmark, Circa 1960

Sorry, this product is no longer available on Dering Hall.

Excellent original production example of the famed ‘Cone Chair’ by Vener Panton. Designed in 1958 this chair takes its shape from the geometric figure for which it is named. The cone-shaped seat is mounted at its point on a stainless steel swivel base and allows for 360 degrees of movement. An arched padded shell stretches upward to form the back and armrests, forming a comfortable seat. This lounge chair has been upholstered in embroidered fabric with scroll-like embellishments of yellowish-olive tones. A representation of this chair is part of the collection at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. This eye-catching piece would be a great addition as part of a classic or contemporary living room, den, family room, office or bedroom. It would also be an apt choice in a corporate, retail or hospitality location such as a boutique hotel lobby, cocktail bar, members club, workspace studio, executive office or in a luxe clothing emporium. Measurements: 33" H x 22.5" W x 24" D Seat height 19" Seat depth 18" Very good vintage condition. Some wear on the fabric and pulling to the embroidery.
