Vintage 1960s Murano Glass Bookends Sculptures by Alfredo Barbini -Italy Mid Century Modern Minimali
Offering a stunning pair of vintage Murano glass bookends made in Italy by Alfredo Barbini, circa 1960s. These are perfect without flaws. These bookends are done in the “Sommerso” style technique and are a rare combination of teal green surrounded by electric periwinkle blue….just mesmerizing! One bookend is a large pear and the other is a large peach (appears at first as an apple but has an intentional crevice down the front side….see first photo). Both have gold aventurine in their leaves. They are both extremely heavy and sit sturdy on their surfaces. PLEASE NOTE: These are LARGE and HEAVY pieces of glass and will be double boxed to insure safe arrival. EXCELLENT CONDITION. No chips, no cracks, no issues whatsoever…just flawless. A great addition to any Murano art glass collection or just a nice decorative item that will look fabulous on a coffee or console table. Perfect for the new trendy Palm Beach or Boho Chic decor.
