Vintage Hansen Brass Swing Arm Wall Lamps - A Pair

Pair of double swing arm wall lamps designed in 1947 by George W. Hansen for Hansen Lamps New York. Manufactured by Metalarte. Original cast brass markers mark stamp, on backplate, and top of backplate “Hansen, NEW YORK.” Original shades, Integral harps and solid brass finials included. In Excellent. Original checkered shades included, last photo is an image with suggestion for an alternate more neutral shade. Designed by Georg W. Hansen in 1947 while improvising a reading lamp for his bunk during World War 2, Hansen designed a pair of polished brass double swing arm sconces. This pair presents with original harps and solid brass finials Signed Hansen original cast brass rectangular backplates and the top of measures: (3 1/2," wide x 4 1/2" high x 1/2" deep). Three-way switch. Each lamp takes a single standard Edison screw bulb up to 150 watts.
