This superbly styled and beautifully colored vintage Moroccan rug features a brilliant assortment of geometric figures and abstract glyphs arranged in an alluring decentralized pattern. The airy open spaces and intense warm colors create a marvelous visual effect while highlighting the textural background of ribbed pile. Abstract conglomerations of truncated checkers, polychromatic hash marks, ambiguous shapes and compound motifs form a dynamic series of linear patterns that are constantly moving and changing. The intensity of the lively warm-tone decorations is tempered by the snowy white background, complementary neutral accents and bold outlines. This exceptional vintage mid-century Moroccan rug captures the bold textures, abstract patterns and modern colors that are coveted features in regional carpets.

Nazmiyal Antique Moroccan rugs are featured in House Beautiful’s apartment in the Designer Visions showcase. The apartment is designed by architect David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group and has a sense of drama that traces back to Rockwell’s roots in theater.

This rug will be available for delivery after the Designer Visions showcase closes.
