An exact reproduction of an American Colonial Period Philadelphia walnut armchair relating to the Wistar group circa 1740. Note figure 57 in the article entitled “Flux in Design and Method” by Alan Miller in the 20014 edition of American Furniture published by Chipstone Foundation. The chair was measured from the original and constructed in exactly the same manner with hand cut though pined, round wedged, half lapped, and blind mortise and tenons. The carving was performed by hand and is also an exact match. The chair was finished to resemble a period patina. The fabric is 100% wool hand embroidered reproduction fabric. Offer 150 hours were spent in the production of this chair.
